About the author
Eight years of guests, apartments and short nights
Daniel Schulz is Managing Director of residir GmbH. He brings eight years of experience in letting and managing serviced apartments and, over that time, has looked after more than 80,000 guest stays: business travellers on project assignments, families on holiday, trade fair exhibitors and people between two homes.
That work is the source of the knowledge that goes into the guides on this site. What guests ask before they arrive, what they need after three days in an unfamiliar city and what makes a longer stay go wrong can’t be copied from a guidebook. You learn it on the phone, at check-in and from the reviews.
residir GmbH operates the boarding house at Ländstraße 6 in Munich: 54 apartments between Isartor and the Isar, opening in autumn 2027. As Managing Director, Daniel Schulz is responsible for furnishing the apartments, from the bed linen to the kitchen, and knows from his own experience what works for hundreds of guests a year and what doesn’t. He knows Lehel from many walks around the building.

How we work
How our guides are written
- Based on practice: they are built on the questions guests actually ask us and the routes we walk ourselves.
- Checked and dated: opening hours, prices and walking times are given an “as of” date. Anything that changes quickly is marked as a guide value.
- Honest, not promotional: if a place is overcrowded, expensive or currently closed, the text says so.
- Regularly updated: we review articles with dates and prices at least once a year. The date is shown at the top of every article.
